Gösta Berlings Saga

Swedes living in Västerås: Do not miss Gösta Berlings Saga and My Brother The Wind live at Sigurdsgatan 25 the 24:th of March.

If you didnt already know, My Brother The Wind is an amazing  all improvised psych/prog act where our previous  guitarist from Tid Är Ljud – Mathias Danielsson currently plays. The band also features Niklas Barker from Ankedoten as well as members from Magnolia! Great lineup, great band.

So – FINALLY we are allowed to inform you all that Gösta Berlings Saga is confirmed to play at the final edition ever of the North East Art Rock Festival in Bethlehem, PA – USA in June 2012.

As many of you know we were also on the bill for the 2011 edition of the festival which unfortunately was cancelled due to bad ticket sales. That cancellation kind of broke our hearts temporarily, but as soon as we received the information that there were plans of a new NEARfest in 2012 and that we were asked to play our moods instantly changed drastically.

Also, we are very proud to be the ONLY BAND from the 2011 roster who gets the opportunity to play at the new edition. I guess that means we will get all the IPA never consumed from last year?

We are temporarily out of Glue Works CD’s. Cuneiform will ship new ones soon, but meanwhile you Swedes can get it from all major web shops carrying CD’s or buy it at your favourite record dealer (just tell em we’re distributed by Sound Pollution).

Also, our old Tid Är Ljud canvas bags has been sold out.

On the other hand you will soon be able to buy nice looking Glue Works-styled T-shirts. Keep checking in!

For those of you who haven’t already noticed, the Nearfest festival 2011 has been cancelled. This is of course a big disappointment for us as a band since we have been looking forward to this immensely. It would have been our first intercontinental appearance.

However, due to bad ticket sales the festival crew were forced to cancel the festival, and we’re absolutely sure that the crew saw this as their last way out so we hold nothing against them.

Lets hope for a new Nearfest 2012.

We are very proud to inform you that our upcoming album Glue Works will be available on vinyl. The LP will be pressed in a very limited edition of 300 copies and will come in a sweet looking, hand-numbered gatefold.

It will be released by our dear friends at Diskret Förlag who has released stuff by for example Bear Quartet and Förmögenhet in the past. An eclectic label for an eclectic band.

It will “hit the streets” at the same time as the CD on Cuneiform, and you will be able to buy it either from Diskret or from us. Happy times!
